Dr. Lawrence Starin is a Board Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1983 and completed a General Surgery Residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center of NYC in 1988. After a one year Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, he opened his private practice in 1989. He has served as the Chief of General Surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Starin has extensive experience in the repair of abdominal wall hernias. He has consistently been voted a “Top Doctor” by his peers in the Washingtonian Magazine.
